SUNDAY #13 – Gazelle Twin @ Electrowerkz

(Gazelle Twin @ Electrowerkz, 22.4.15)

This blog will be brief for the following reasons:

1. I’m hung-over

2. I’m behind on assignments

3. I have to be somewhere later and it’s going to take a lot of will power/eyeliner to get me out of the house.

I just wanted to gloat about seeing Gazelle Twin at Electrowerkz on Wednesday night. It’s one of the most intense, interesting and inventive gigs I’ve ever been to. I’ve blogged about being a fan of Elizabeth Bernholz’s electronic creations before, but I wanted to re-fuel the fire and say how superb she was live. Favourite tracks included ‘I feel Blood’, ‘Human Touch’ and ‘Anti-body’. If you ever get the chance to see her, take it: it will blow your bobbed mind.

SUNDAY #2 – Gazelle Twin

Here is the second SUNDAY blog-post, but I regret to inform you that it does not stem from a hang-over (and I am unusually disappointed about that.)

ANYWAY – On to better things. This week’s post is about Gazelle Twin‘s second album Unflesh. My older brother lent me the CD last week and I’ve become obsessed with it. Elizabeth Bernholz is the brains behind the haunting music; I recommend putting on your headphones, turning out the lights, laying in bed, and letting her sound invade you. You’ll feel a simultaneous mix of horror and glory, and a sudden urge to start wearing blue hoodies (That last bit will make more sense once you’ve watched the video below).
