SUNDAY #42 – London Grammar

This has been a turbulent week. The internet has brought both despair and hope in equal measure, and work has been both nerve-shreddingly stressful and ridiculously rewarding.

The task of keeping me calm fell to London Grammar. I unearthed If You Wait last weekend and it’s re-struck a pretty beautiful chord. I can’t pick a favourite song from the album, but I’ve been meandering through London’s streets to ‘Nightcall’, and I’ve been resting my eyelids to ‘Shyer’ on the morning commute for 5 solid days.

Heartfelt and haunting, If You Wait is as soothing as a hot bath on a winters night. It might just be one of my favourite albums from the last two years.
